Screw is generally divided into five sections: conveying section, melting section, mixing section, exhaust section, and homogenizing section. The specific functions are as follows:

1. Conveying section: conveying materials and preventing overflow;

2. Melting section: This section fully melts and homogenizes the material through heat transfer and frictional shearing;

3. Mixing section: further refine and uniform the size of the material components to form an ideal structure, with distribution and dispersion mixing functions;

4. Exhaust section: discharge water vapor, low molecular weight substances and other impurities;

5. Homogenization (metering) section: Conveying and pressurizing, establishing a certain pressure, so that the material at the die mouth has a certain density, and at the same time further mixing, and finally achieve the purpose of smooth extrusion and granulation .
